Transportation DMV Agent 1 - Kanawha County
Under general supervision, the Transportation DMV Agent 1 performs full-performance level public contact work involving the processing, recording, and issuance of drivers’ license, vehicle registration, vehicle titles, and related documents in a Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) regional office. Work involves knowledge, interpretation, and the application of motor vehicle laws, policies, and procedures. Other duties as required.
Minimum Requirements
REQUIRED TRAINING/EDUCATION: Graduation from standard high school or the equivalent.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: One year of full time or equivalent part time paid experience in bookkeeping, cashiering, or related public contact work.
Substitution: College credit from an accredited college or university, business school, or vocational training may be substituted through an established formula for the required experience.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: A valid driver's license is required and must be maintained. Work schedules are assigned and rotated on a regular basis. Overtime Hours may be required.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: All applicants must consent to fingerprinting and a criminal background investigation.
