Entry-Level IT Support Specialist

Job Summary:
As an Entry-Level IT Support Specialist, you’ll play a critical role in supporting the tech backbone of our team. You’ll be the go-to for handling internal IT ticket requests, helping set up and troubleshoot hardware and software for team members, and supporting day-to-day issues with Autodesk and other BIM software. This is an ideal role for someone recently out of school who is eager to learn, grow, and get hands-on experience with real-world IT in a tech-forward construction environment.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to and manage internal IT ticket requests, providing timely support to team members across all departments.
- Set up, configure, and ship hardware for new hires (laptops, monitors, accessories, etc.).
- Troubleshoot issues related to Revit, Navisworks, and other Autodesk products commonly used by our project teams.
- Assist with software installations, updates, and license management for BIM and productivity tools.
- Document troubleshooting steps and resolutions for common issues to build out internal knowledge resources.
- Escalate more complex technical problems to senior team members or outside support when needed.
- Maintain accurate records of assets, configurations, equipment on hand and user setups.
- Assist in improving internal IT processes and workflows to streamline support and setup.
- Support remote employees by ensuring their technology needs are met and maintained.
- Stay up to date with evolving software updates, patches, and known issues—particularly within the Autodesk ecosystem.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong foundational knowledge of hardware and operating system setup (Windows/Mac).
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills—clear, patient, and team-oriented.
- Experience with Microsoft 365, Teams, and basic networking concepts.
- Familiarity with Revit, Navisworks, or other Autodesk software is a major plus.
- Ability to manage time independently and prioritize support tickets based on urgency and impact.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn.
- Bonus: Previous experience working with construction, architecture, or engineering teams.
