Part-time AP Calculus tutor
Club Z! is a national in-home tutoring company. We take pride in matching tutors with students based on individual needs, personality and qualifications. We utilize the student's classroom curriculum, additional resources, state published guidance as well as study skills & test prep programs in order to aid your teaching. We are a team of education enthusiasts. Our mission is to help students achieve their goals and reach their highest potential!
With high demands from local families, we are currently looking to add a few more individuals to our team who can support with AP Calculus (both AB and BC) as well as Maths in general (anything between Algebra I and Pre-calc). We will give any certified teachers or prior formal teaching experiences priority consideration. We would expect you to work on supporting with lecturing new material as well as helping the students with homework questions and test taking preparation.
If homework would be part of the support, you may also be required to act as a homework accountability coach to ensure that your students turns in their homework on time and in completion. If you are capable of teaching other positions, we will take your full skillset into our hiring as well as assignment decisions. We would prefer candidates who have taken those AP classes during your high school years (or anything that is offered by your school as equivalents).
This is a hybrid role. We do required you to be on-site 1-2 day of the week (depending on your circumstance as well as workload/number of assignments). In addition, we would need you to also be able to maintain a consistent schedule. Hence if you are only able to do one-off freelance sessions, this may not be the right fit for you. We are not considering any fully remote candidates at this time.
