Social Media Coordinator

Social Media Coordinator — Glazed Coffee & Creamery

Location: San Diego, CA (Pacific Beach) or Knoxville, TN
Employment Type: Part-Time or Full-Time
Compensation: $18–$25/hour depending on experience

As we scale into new markets, we need someone who can help bring our story to life daily on TikTok and Instagram.

Role Overview

The Social Media Coordinator is responsible for keeping our brand active, engaging, and growing across all social channels — especially TikTok and Instagram. This role blends organization with creativity. You’ll not only manage the posting calendar, but also create engaging short-form content, understand platform trends, and support our TikTok Shop presence.

You’ll work directly with leadership and creators to bring content ideas to life and help keep Glazed culturally relevant and algorithm-friendly.

What You’ll Do

Content Creation & Execution

Create engaging short-form content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and Stories

Film, edit, and produce simple videos using CapCut, Canva, or similar tools

Identify and execute on trending audio, formats, and viral concepts

Capture in-store content (drink builds, team highlights, BTS, product drops)

Maintain a consistent brand voice and aesthetic across platforms

Post/schedule daily content across TikTok, IG, and Facebook

Platform Expertise

Use TikTok Business Center and Instagram Professional Tools

Track analytics directly inside platform dashboards

Understand how to optimize content for reach, engagement, and conversions

Manage Glazed’s presence on TikTok Shop, including:

Updating product listings

Approving creators

Monitoring orders

Coordinating content needed for TikTok Shop affiliate videos

Community Management

Respond to DMs, comments, tags, and user content

Engage with local creators, customers, and community accounts

Monitor and surface trending hashtags and local opportunities

Creator & Collab Support

Assist with coordinating content for creator partnerships

Track creator deliverables and repost approved content

Help organize PR boxes and manage inbound creator requests

Analytics & Optimization

Pull weekly analytics on post performance, follower growth, and engagement

Identify what’s working and propose improvements

Monitor competitor content for inspiration and trends

What You Bring

Strong content creation skills — filming, editing, storytelling

Ability to create content that feels native to Instagram Reels + TikTok

Working knowledge of TikTok Shop and IG/TikTok business tools

Basic editing ability (CapCut, Adobe Express, Canva preferred)

Strong organizational skills and consistency in posting

Ability to write short, clear, on-brand captions

Positive attitude, self-starter mindset, and love for creative experimentation

Bonus: experience with creator outreach or running social content calendars

Extra bonus: passion for coffee + aesthetic drinks
