Join the Anderson Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (ACEI) as a Marketing Student Worker and collaborate closely with the Director of Marketing to bring creative campaigns to life and gain hands-on experience in digital marketing, content creation, and event promotion. This role is perfect for creative, detail-oriented students who are passionate about design, social media, analytics, and storytelling. You’ll help craft branded graphics, edit engaging videos, engage with social platforms, and support marketing campaigns that showcase UT’s entrepreneurial community. Desired Proficiencies of a Marketing Student Worker for ACEI:

 

Graphic Design

  • Proficiency in Canva or Adobe Express for quick, branded social media graphics.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) for advanced design needs.
  • Knowledge of print and digital media
    • Helpful if they know the specifics of each (i.e., understanding bleeds, crop marks for print along with appropriate color spaces for digital vs print)

 

Video Editing & Multimedia

  • Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro or CapCut for short-form and long-form video content (TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, website spotlights).
  • Willing to learn new tools such as Quso AI for taking long form videos and converting into short form for various platforms to maximize our content and reach. 

 

Social Media Management Platforms

  • Knowledge of Sprout Social or similar for scheduling and analytics.
  • Understanding of Social Analytics and Listening for performance tracking and trend identification.
  • Understands the importance of post optimization, editing in app when appropriate, trending audios, tagging, and collaborations.

 

Content Creation & Copywriting

  • Strong writing skills for captions, blog posts, and email campaigns.
  • Writing post-event recaps for the website and assistance with press releases.
  • Familiarity with Grammarly or similar tools for proofreading.
  • Must understand the importance of brand voice and following brand guidelines.

 

Photography & Videography

  • Ability to shoot high-quality photos and videos using DSLR or smartphone with editing apps like Lightroom.
  • Experience with using photography and videography equipment such as lighting, mics, gimbals, etc...

 

Basic Web & Email Marketing

  • Knowledge of Mailchimp or similar for email campaigns.
  • Assistance with automations and workflows with applications such as Zapier.

 

Data & Analytics

  • Comfortable tracking campaign performance.
  • Understanding of important metrics to track.
  • Data analysis from AirTable  or similar.

 

Networking & Events

  • Attend and help prepare for various networking and tabling events.
  • Assist with preparation and day of tasks for competitions and speaker events.
  • Photography at events.

 

Term Length

  • 1 Semester term with opportunities to continue after review
