SQL Course Creator Intern - Business Analytics

About the VOLinternship Program: 

The VOLintern Program is UTK's on-campus internship program. Each internship will run for the duration of one academic semester. Students will be able to gain real work experience without leaving campus! Gain access to real-world experience, enhanced professional development, and industry mentors by applying now! Each position will be open for a minimum of 1 week and has the chance to close early due to an influx of applicants, so make sure to apply today! 

About the Internship:

The student will work with a BAS professor to create a SQL learning course for both undergraduate and graduate students. The student should have experience with SQL for ETL operations and query optimization, as well as basic database management skills.

Internship Responsibilities: 

  • Develop course lessons, examples, and hands-on exercises. Create datasets, annotated scripts, assignments, and quizzes. Create a curated list of online resources to develop SQL skills at the beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels. Test and refine materials for clarity and accessibility. Align course content with objectives set by the supervising professor.

Qualifications:

  • SQL Proficiency and knowledge of database administration concepts. Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly. Familiarity with cloud computing is a plus.
