About the Role

Merivance, Inc. is hiring a Marketing Trainee to join our growing team in Richmond, VA. This is an entry-level, in-person role designed for students, recent graduates, or individuals starting their careers who want hands-on experience, paid training, and clear opportunities for advancement.

In this role, you’ll learn how direct marketing and brand promotions work in real retail environments. You’ll interact directly with customers, support promotional campaigns for national brands, and build valuable professional skills in communication, sales, and leadership.

This position is best suited for people who enjoy working with others, want real-world experience (not just desk work), and are motivated to grow.

Please note: This role is fully on-site in Richmond, VA. There is no remote option. Local candidates are encouraged to apply.

What You’ll Do

• Represent client brands during in-store marketing and promotional campaigns
• Engage customers face-to-face and explain current products or promotions
• Support customer acquisition and brand awareness initiatives
• Work toward individual and team performance goals
• Collaborate with a supportive, fast-paced team
• Learn the fundamentals of marketing, sales, and client engagement through paid training

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Interest in marketing, sales, communications, or business
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable working in a customer-facing, in-person environment
• Reliable transportation to Richmond-area locations

No prior experience required. Retail, hospitality, customer service, or sales experience is a plus but not necessary — we provide full training.
