Cashier - Bake'n Bacon Fashion District Food Court
About the role:
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier to join our front-of-house team. As the first and often last point of contact for our guests, you will play a key role in delivering an exceptional customer experience. This position is responsible for creating a welcoming environment while supporting efficient and seamless day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities:
Greet guests warmly, provide menu guidance, and answer questions to ensure a positive first impression
Accurately process orders and payments using the point-of-sale (POS) system
Handle cash, credit, and mobile transactions securely and in accordance with company procedures
Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked cashier and front-of-house area
Promote menu items, daily specials, and upsell offerings to enhance the guest experience
Assist with packaging take-out orders and coordinating timely pick-up and delivery handoffs
Monitor front-of-house inventory (e.g., bags, utensils, condiments) and communicate restocking needs
Support a positive guest experience by encouraging feedback, including online reviews when appropriate
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service and smooth daily operations
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
Previous cashier, retail, or customer service experience preferred
Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in processing transactions
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a guest-focused approach
Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Positive attitude with a strong team-oriented mindset
Basic math proficiency and ability to handle cash transactions confidently
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Certifications & Training
Food Handler Certification (required or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire)
Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems; experience with digital ordering platforms preferred
Allergen awareness and food safety knowledge (preferred)
