Marini’s at the Beach, an iconic Santa Cruz institution, is looking for an experienced and hospitality‑driven Operations Manager to lead daily operations across multiple store locations. What You’ll Do
As our Operations Manager, you’ll oversee the day‑to‑day operations of all Marini’s locations—ensuring top‑tier quality, smooth workflows, and outstanding customer service. You’ll manage staff development, scheduling, inventory, vendor relationships, facilities, equipment, and health and safety compliance. You’ll also collaborate closely with the Owner to support long‑term business success.
You’ll Excel Here If You:
• Have previous operations or multi‑store management experience
• Lead with positivity, professionalism, and a hands‑on approach
• Communicate clearly and confidently
• Are highly organized and able to juggle multiple priorities
• Understand California labor laws and compliance requirements
• Love the energy of serving guests in a high‑volume environment
• Are hospitality‑minded and committed to excellence
• Are bilingual (English/Spanish) – preferred but not required
Key Responsibilities Include:
• Leading, training, coaching, and supporting staff
• Overseeing quality, customer experience, health & safety, and operational standards
• Managing scheduling, inventory, vendors, facilities, and equipment
• Handling escalated customer situations with professionalism
• Ensuring policy, safety, and regulatory compliance
• Maintaining ServSafe Manager certification
• Supporting seasonal operations, event planning, and continuous improvements
Physical Requirements:
This role involves being active throughout the day—walking, standing, lifting, and navigating multi‑level store environments.
Schedule:
Full‑time, 40 hours per week, with overtime required during peak summer season.
• Broad availability required, including closing shifts, weekends, and holidays (Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day).
• Typical work hours range from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., depending on business needs
