Marketing & Growth Associate
Marketing & Growth Associate (Paid Internship → Full-Time)
Forbidden Well · New York, NY · Hybrid, 2 days a week on site
$1,500/month · 90-day paid internship, designed to convert to full-time
This is a six-figure job on the other side of 90 days.
The internship pays $1,500/month. The full-time role it converts into starts at $75,000 and can exceed $150,000 based on performance and the revenue you generate. We built the path that way on purpose — we'd rather pay it out than not.
You will own marketing. All of it.
This is not an internship where you're handed a task list and asked to schedule someone else's posts. You will own the strategy, the calendar, the campaigns and the creative. The concepts are yours. The pitch ideas are yours. The call on what we run next is yours.
We'll work alongside you to stay aligned on direction and make sure you have what you need, but you are not waiting on us to tell you what to do. If you need someone to hand you assignments, this is the wrong job. If you've been waiting for someone to hand you the keys instead, read on.
You are the keeper of the brand
Forbidden Well should look and sound like one thing everywhere we show up: email campaigns, social posts, stories, the grid, and every other form of communication we put out. Someone should be able to see any piece of our content and know instantly that it's us.
That means more than staying consistent. You'll continuously fine-tune that identity, stay organized in how we market, and be deliberate about what goes out and why. No random posting. Every piece has a purpose you can explain.
You own every external relationship
This role owns all points of contact with other spas, vendors, modeling agencies and brands — curating them, organizing them, and keeping them alive over time.
A real example: a friend recently connected us to the owner of a very successful spa in Miami. We make the introduction, and from there it's yours to develop into something lucrative — a referral partnership where their clients coming to New York come to us, and ours heading to Miami go to them. First introduction to signed, working partnership, end to end. That's the job.
What you'll run
- Brand, content and social across Instagram and TikTok: your concepts, your voice, your calendar
- Brand consistency across every channel we touch, and the standards that keep it that way
- Email marketing, including weekly campaigns and automated flows
- Paid social and lead generation campaigns with our agency partner
- Partnerships and outreach: spas, vendors, modeling agencies and like-minded brands, plus the co-marketing campaigns that come out of them
- Photo and video shoots: concept, casting, scheduling and running the day
- Our podcast, using our full in-house studio: booking guests, recording, editing and publishing
- Local search, our Google Business Profile and our Google reviews program
- Daily and weekly reporting on what's working
Who this is for
- You generate ideas without being asked and can defend them
- You write well and have taste. You can tell the difference between good and almost good
- You have an eye for consistency and it bothers you when something is off-brand
- You're comfortable talking to people and turning an introduction into a relationship that lasts
- You're comfortable with AI tools, especially Claude, and use them to move faster
- You're organized enough to run a shoot, a podcast taping and three campaigns in the same week
- You want to build something, not pad a resume
Where it goes
This 90-day period is a prerequisite for a full-time, long-term role, and it's how we both find out if this is the right fit. We're hiring for the person who runs marketing at Forbidden Well for years — someone who grows as the company does and takes on more as we open more. If you hit the benchmarks, which we'll set with you and review together, the full-time role starts at $75,000 and can exceed $150,000 based on performance and revenue generated.
About us
Forbidden Well is a luxury wellness house in New York built around IV therapy, advanced treatments and a client experience that feels like nothing else in the city.
Apply with your resume and anything you've made that you're proud of: content, campaigns, a brand you built, a project that worked. Tell us about one brand whose identity you think is airtight and why, and one relationship or partnership you started and kept going. We care more about what you've shipped than where you've interned.
