Volunteer & Marketing Coordinator
- Organize and manage the tournament volunteer workforce, including recruitment, selection, training, scheduling, and coordination of volunteer committee leaders.
- Organize, plan, and execute all volunteer leadership meetings and events.
- Coordinate and oversee the Volunteer Appreciation Party during Tournament Week.
- Manage the volunteer database and registration system.
- Create and maintain a Volunteer Handbook.
- Conduct local marketing and recruiting efforts for volunteers.
- Establish volunteer timelines and create schedules for participating volunteers.
- Provide continuous communication of volunteer expectations, deadlines, training and upcoming events; create and manage a Volunteer Newsletter.
- Oversee all volunteer uniform ordering, inventory, and distribution.
- Create training materials and host training sessions for new and returning volunteers.
- Prepare meal schedules for volunteers leading into and during Tournament Week.
- Assist with design of tournament signage, event collateral, and print materials as needed.
- Manage the day-to-day execution of the Tournament's social media plan across applicable platforms, including content creation, scheduling, community engagement, and monitoring performance and engagement.
- Work alongside Tournament Staff to implement general Tournament marketing campaigns, including but not limited to email, digital, outdoor, radio, television, social media, and print advertising.
- Assist with day-to-day website content creation, updates, design coordination, and overall content management for the Sanford International website.
- Assist Tournament Staff with the coordination and implementation of the Tournament's internship program.
- Attend other Pro Links Sports events throughout the year to gain experience and provide support (as schedule allows).
- Other duties as assigned.
- Previous experience in event management, volunteer coordination, marketing, communications, sports management, or a related field preferred.
- Ability to work in a team environment and willingness to take on extra responsibilities as assigned.
- Effective project management skills with a track record of completing projects on time and on budget.
- Capacity to address multiple tasks simultaneously and remain composed under pressure.
- Strong organizational, attention-to-detail, and time-management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and experience with Canva, graphic design, and web/content management systems preferred.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication/presentation skills.
- Must take initiative in project management and problem solving.
- Demonstrates a high degree of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct.
- Confident, proactive, creative, and collaborative style with the ability to work effectively within a team.
Bachelor's degree in Sport Management, Communications, Marketing, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience will also be considered.
General Information/Requirements:Must be authorized to work in the United States. International applicants must have all required visas and employment authorizations prior to the start of employment. The successful candidate must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Sioux Falls, SD area, and will be employed by Pro Links Sports. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check.

The annual event attracts 78 PGA TOUR Champions professionals to Sioux Falls to compete for a $2.2 million purse. Each year, the Sanford International's net proceeds support local charitable organizations. The 2027 event will be the tenth edition and is slated for September 6-12, 2027.
