Communications Project Manager

RSI EnTech, LLC is recruiting for a Communications Project Manager that supports the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Legacy Management (LM) education, communications, history, and outreach activities. The selected candidate will coordinate and drive to completion dozens of projects and activities and report on outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintaining a master schedule of key deliverables and projects
  • Developing and managing communications projects plans, budgets, and schedules
  • Coaching colleagues and teammates on project management best practices
  • Facilitating and documenting communications project kickoff discussions
  • Completing communications project closeout and lessons learned activities
  • Analyzing and reporting on monthly budget information
  • Assisting with the creation of digital, print, and multimedia content
  • Assisting with the delivery of community outreach; public affairs; media relations; education programs; and internal communications activities
 
Basic Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working in a communications delivery service organization
  • Formal project management training and/or certification
  • Skilled communications and public affairs implementer
  • Experience creating digital, print, and multimedia communications products for clients
  • Experience delivering community outreach, media relations, education and/or Congressional/intergovernmental programs and activities for clients
  • Experience creating budget and other program management reports and documents
  • Demonstrated ability to quantify communications results and outcomes
  • Experience communicating technical and/or scientific information to non-technical and or non-scientific audiences
  • Familiarity with the U.S. Department of Energy
  • Familiarity working as a contractor for the U.S. government
  • Familiarity with radioactive and chemical waste, environmental contamination, hazardous material and the associated long-term surveillance and maintenance, records management, work force restructuring and benefits continuity, property management, landuse planning, and community assistance

Required Education:
  • BA/BS in Communications or equivalent project management experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant experience
  • Project management fundamentals
 
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
Sedentary Work Category – The employee must remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. This position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer. The person in this position frequently communicates with others who have inquiries. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. Constantly works inside an office environment. Frequently moves documents and objects weighing up to 10 pounds. Must be able to observe and learn technical material and emails.
