The person filling this position will be expected to do the following:
  1. Develop survey instruments through Qualtrics to assess the impact of advisor professional development programming at the University of Tennessee;
  2. Analyze program assessment data using SPSS and other technologies to find trends, e.g., impact of career longevity on an event’s perceived value;
  3. Clean data where necessary;
  4. Create charts, reports and presentations to organize and display the data;
  5. Present data to advising leaders and other constituents; and
  6. Assist with other assessment projects such as the Annual Advising and Student Success Conference evaluation.  

Minimum qualifications include:
  • pursuit of an undergraduate degree in social sciences (or related field)
  • a basic knowledge of survey development and data management
  • Basic knowledge of Qualtrics, SPSS or other data management software, and Microsoft Office
  • Strong communication skills

Preferred qualifications include:
  • Interest in a data-driven career field
  • Quantitative research experience
