Vernacular Media Specialist

As a supported* Vernacular Media Specialist, you would help reach preliterate speakers of language groups around the Americas with the Bible using innovative technology.
Today, over 2,100 people groups, 114 million people, still don’t have the Bible translated into their languages! Wycliffe USA believes the Word of God can transform lives when people hear it in their own language, and we urgently need you to join the team!
You would work closely with an experienced mentor, honing your skills in media development until you qualified as a consultant.
Job Location: Anywhere (includes short-term travel throughout the Americas)
Every day is different! One day you might develop and teach media-related workshops. Later you could consult on projects and needs, networking with other organizations. Another day you would coach and encourage teams you’ve trained in media production.

- You’re excited to travel around the Americas (2 months accumulative travel per year).

- You have a basic mechanical aptitude.

- You have previous training in electronic, communications, or music.
- You speak an intermediate level of Spanish.
*ABOUT SUPPORTED POSITIONS
Non-traditional salaries are needs-based determined by factors of housing and personal expenses based on geographic location, including dependents and their ages, retirement savings, ministry expenses and taxes. Although salaries vary significantly and it’s not possible to provide an exact number for this position, a typical non-traditional salary for a missionary household is $42,600 to $80,982 annually. These salaries do not include your partnership-raised funds for health insurance, worker’s compensation insurance, or Wycliffe assessment.
