Accountant

We’re searching for a motivated and passionate Accountant to join our Accounting Team, which is responsible for keeping accurate books & records for Schell Brothers and its subsidiary entities. The Accountant will primarily be responsible for recording financial transactions in accordance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), executing month-end close procedures, preparing & issuing financial statements for any assigned entities on a timely basis, performing bank reconciliations & other balance sheet account reconciliations to certify the financial statements on a monthly basis, and being responsive to requests from Schell management, teammates, customers, vendors, and other internal/external parties. The Accountant must provide excellent customer service and accurate financial information. Any discrepancies found during the account reconciliation process should be researched and resolved on a timely basis. The Accountant will also provide ad hoc financial reporting & analysis, along with other duties as required. 

What is required to be an Accountant

We want you to be committed to the Schell Brothers’ mission and have an affinity for numbers. A bachelor’s degree in accounting is required (CPA license or a desire to be a CPA is preferred). Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office is required. Experience with financial systems is preferred.
