Studio Coordinator (part-time)
The Charlotte Mecklenburg Public Access Corporation, a non-profit organization responsible for providing community media services to the residents of the City of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County in North Carolina, has an immediate opening for a Studio Coordinator. This is a part-time position, typically 12 hours per week, that reports directly to the Operations Manager. Monday, Thursday, and Friday evenings (5:45 PM – 9:45 PM) with more shifts possible if desired. Saturday availability a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor facility use to insure safe and efficient utilization of Public Access assets and to insure adherence to standard practices, policies, and rules.
- Teach workshops in TV Studio Production, Podcasting, and Field Production.
- Make adjustments to production equipment as required for specific productions.
- Troubleshoot equipment and make minor adjustments and repairs.
- Assist in general upkeep and organization of facility.
- Maintain relationships with the public, producers, and users.
- Participate in any in-house productions, including promotions and festival coverage.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Television Production, or Related Field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with Television Studio Equipment and NLE Editing (Final Cut Pro X preferred).
- Great attention to detail.
- Ability to work with a diverse group of people.
- Availability to work evenings and Saturdays.
