Associate Director of Business Development and Sales

Principal Function: The Associate Director of Business Development and Sales will be initially responsible for establishing a sales and marketing strategy for B2S followed by execution of that strategy increasing sales to B2S’s core businesses through cold calling/emailing and searching for new business opportunities across pharma/biopharma applications. This individual will maintain effective customer relationships, develop opportunities for growth with existing and new customers, and assure market penetration and profitability while achieving sales and profit forecasts. The position requires deep knowledge of life science technologies and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across the life science industry. The successful candidate must accomplish these goals while maintaining a professional and productive relationship with existing B2S leadership. The candidate must also be comfortable building longstanding partnerships with some of the most innovative companies in the world.

 

 

B2S Company Profile:

B2S Life Science’s CORE MISSION is to support our clients biotherapeutic drug development by providing best-in-class optimized custom critical reagents, robust analytical methods and sample analysis services, data analytical consultation, and immunogenicity consulting services. Our core services include but are not limited to the following.

  • Critical Reagents:  We generate, purify, and characterize, custom critical reagents to support Regulated Bioanalysis and CMC assays of biotherapeutics. We maintain a proprietary LCM+ inventory system to maintain these products in a controlled manner to ensure long term stability, consistency in performance and provide a well-documented chain-of-custody for regulatory compliance.
  • Assay Development and Sample analysis:  Our Bioanalytical team offers a range of services from drug discovery to nonclinical/clinical development. This includes development and implementation of validated assays to support PK/TK, anti-drug antibody (ADA) immunogenicity assays, and assays to determine novel biomarkers for assessments of pharmacodynamics. We also provide sample analysis services for all phases of drug development. We provide these services in either a regulated (GLP, GCP, etc.) or non-regulated environment.
  • Data Analytical Services:  B2S Life Sciences provides comprehensive immunogenicity assessments. Aligning with the latest regulatory guidance, our statisticians employ the well-integrated three-tier approach to define the immunogenicity profile of a prospective therapeutic in alignment with the latest regulatory guidance using our proprietary screening and confirmatory cut point software.
  • Consulting Services:  B2S maintains relationships with highly trained scientists with years of experience developing novel pharmaceutics. These individuals are leaders in their field and recognized subject matter experts in all aspects of bioanalytical investigations and data analysis and are highly valuable partners with our clients.

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive strategic and tactical sales and marketing plan for B2S designed to increase sales in all core services within the second year of employment by building relationships with our existing customers and acquiring new customers.
  • Works directly with client engagement teams to monitor and ensure client satisfaction through regular feedback and proactive service adjustments.
  • Effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders across the company to develop collaborative growth and sales strategies with particular attention toward resource availability and utilization.
  • Leads the development and refinement of marketing messages to support content for our website and marketing materials, ensuring alignment with our core mission and services.
  • Execute the targeted growth plans leveraging SalesForce to forecast business, manage customer opportunities, build opportunity pipeline, make business decisions, and maintain records and communications with our customer base.
  • Drives the development and optimization of infrastructure needed to manage and scale ongoing business opportunities, ensuring robust systems for customer relationship and opportunity management.
  • Within the first year of employment, deliver increased sales focused on the LCM+, Antibody Production, and Immunogenicity consulting businesses at B2S.
  • Fully execute the strategic plan such that by the end of the second employment year, all core businesses at B2S are enjoying increases in sales.
  • Remain current on our customers’ news, pipeline development, and funding status, as well as industry news, trends, regulatory guidelines, and key technologies.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in biochemistry, molecular biology, or a related life science discipline.
  • Experience with large molecule bioanalytical techniques and technologies and development strategies. Understanding of the immunogenicity issues encountered during the development of large molecules.
  • Experience with the SalesForce platform.
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience of increasing sales/commercial responsibility within the life science industry, with a focus on business-to-business transactions.
