Business Office position for Skilled Nursing Facility

Job Duties for Business Office role:

  • Process accurate and complete claims to Medicare, Medicare Advantage and payors
  • Work unpaid claims, rejections or denials of claims in a timely manner and resolve issues
  • Make phone calls to insurance companies to resolve reimbursement issues
  • Posting of remits from payors
  • Accurate and complete resolution of any balance remaining after payment from payor is received
  • Billing and collecting co-pays/patient responsible amounts
  • Prepare and send private statements
  • Make AR phone calls in a professional manner and follow up to ensure collection
  • Follow collection policy
  • Meet weekly with supervisor to review AR
  • Attend Medicare weekly meetings
  • Make deposits daily
  • Maintain manual census of patients
  • Any additional duties as requested by supervisor or management

Qualifications:

  • Strong computer skills- Excel, Word
  • Positive attitude 
  • Ability to work under deadlines and strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Willingness to work together as a team
  • Familiar with ICD10 and medical terminology-preferred
  • One (1) year of office or billing experience - preferred
