About the Position:

Under the direction of the Construction Engineering Office Chief, a Senior Transportation Engineer, the Transportation Engineer (TE Civil) Range D acts as the Assistant Duty Senior for the Constructability Unit. The incumbent evaluates and coordinates with other functional units a response to bidders inquiry; reviews reports, plans, specifications and estimates produced by Project Development for Constructability and safety; participates in Project Development Teams; gives concurrence on non-standard Special Provisions, penalty delay clauses, design cross sections, constructibility and safety of a final construction contract package, responsible for bid documents that are sent to escrow company(s). 

Range D requires possession of a valid certificate of registration as a civil engineer issued by the California Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, and Geologists.
