Production Control Analyst

We are looking for a Production Control Analyst to join our Production Control team supporting yearbook and commercial print products.  Our Production Control Analyst will partner with the scheduling and production control supervisors and manager to analyze and oversee the flow of products throughout our printing manufacturing facility.
 
They will work with cross-functional teams to analyze and monitor production activities. This role will be responsible for managing production data, including production specs, dates, and data (commercial and yearbook), and ensuring that accurate data is submitted into various production programs, including scheduled ship dates during peak production times. The incumbent calculates quick turns and efficiently creates, modifies, and distributes a variety of queries and reports generated on multiple platforms. 
 
They will manage the Repair/Reprint orders submitted to meet customer needs and the availability of materials required for job completion. Maintain a solid understanding of the print production flow and the systems and reports that support and monitor that flow.  This position will partner with multiple departments, including Production, Customer Service, Sales, and Finance, in various areas related to production reporting, scheduling policies, and WIP tracking, and it will also be a point of contact for the SIOP team. Conduct meetings and assist with other scheduling duties as needed.
 
The Production Control Analyst will also support continuous improvement and implement scheduling policies, general logging tasks, spec data, and safety goals as needed for the Plant.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Production/Planning, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in Production Control and/or Manufacturing/Production environment.
  • Strong analytical skills & the ability to present complex information in a straightforward manner.
  • Collaborating with colleagues across all hierarchical levels within the organization.
  • Advanced computer skills relevant to data management (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and database tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to develop reports, document processes & communicate technical data clearly and concisely.
  • Must be able to simultaneously handle multiple assignments & achieve the desired outcome within the stipulated timeframe.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
