Job Description
Office of Employee & Business Services
The Office of Employee and Business Services (OEBS) manages the agency’s administrative services, including human resources, facility operations and organizational development. OEBS and its component bureaus support the primary goal of the ODJFS by providing continuous, accurate and timely administrative services to the program areas within the department. What You’ll Do
In this position, you will create and redesign documents, and related functions for the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS).
Day-to-Day you will:
· Respond to employee inquiries and requests (e.g., redesign outdated documents).
· Assist with designing and editing forms for program areas with a focus on Human Centered Design and Plain Language.
· Prepare documents for electronic publication while maintaining updated and accurate files.
· Maintain logs, records, and files of electronic publications and reference for recurring reports for management.
· Work with internal customers and, on occasion, external customers (e.g., vendor and coordination, other State agencies, managers).
· Utilize various electronic systems (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud, IFMS - a custom system at ODJFS, Microsoft 365 Suite).
· Design, edit and proof-read both internal websites and content. Ensure accuracy and clarity.
· Review and publish information/publications to the ODJFS public website. Maintain an organized and clean publications section on the Innovate Ohio Platform.

· Proficient in Adobe Creative Suites software
· Must be solution oriented with forward focus thinking to solve problems that are not always defined.
Challenges: Projects assigned may not always have clear directions or outcomes.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:30am - 5:00pm. Workdays may be remote or in-office. Number of remote days may vary.
Travel: Travel required, as needed.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate, at minimum, must have the following:
OPTION 1:
Competition of undergraduate core program in visual communications with emphasis on graphic design/industrial design, &/or fine arts with emphasis on graphic design; 12 mos. trg. or 12 mos. exp. in visual communications design &/or electronic design.
Option 2:
Completion of associate core program in visual communication technology or industrial design technology; 24 mos. trg. or 24 mos. exp. in visual communication design &/or electronic design.
Option 3:
24 mos. trg. or 24 mos. exp. in use of electronic graphic equipment & available software; 24 mos. trg. or 24 mos. exp. in visual communications design &/or electronic design.
OR
- Equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment noted above.
