Position Description – revit job captain
Foundation Architects is a Bay View based architectural firm with a diverse portfolio that includes civic and cultural, industrial, commercial, educational and religious projects of varying sizes and complexities. We offer the opportunity to work from start to finish with a real impact on all aspects of design through construction on a wide range of creative projects as part of a small office team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a large firm setting and wants to grow beyond their typical career limiting hierarchy into a project architect position with a clear pathway to project management.
We are looking to add a REVIT Job Captain to our team that has the following responsibilities:
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- 4+ years of experience in an Architectural Office. Architectural license preferred.
- Knowledge of materials, products and construction assemblies, sizes & terminology.
- Experience with multiple BIM/CAD/modeling/rendering/presentation tools
- Create initial REVIT project setup and work as part of a BIM/CAD support team creating design, presentation and construction documents.
- Create content, families and standards as part of an ongoing improvement program.
- Manage and maintain the implementation of REVIT workflow on project providing solutions that affect the continuity of production.
- Continually assess, evaluate, and suggest areas of improvement for our production workflow using BIM applications and add-on supporting software.
- Provide expert assistance and technical support with the resolution of BIM design issues, central model issues on team projects that you are working on.
- Provide introductory & intermediate level BIM support and training through all phases of projects, and must be able to effectively share his/her depth of understanding of the relationships between design development, production methodologies, virtual modeling coordination, visualization/communication mediums and software solutions.
- Professional and highly collaborative demeanor capable of address multiple design disciplines, projects and tasks simultaneously.
- Attend continuing education, seminars, and workshops.
