Position Overview 

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Composite Materials Intern to support our research and development efforts. This internship offers hands-on experience in composite fabrication, materials characterization, and startup operations. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, willing to take on diverse responsibilities, and excited to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced environment. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • CF/PEEK Composite Fabrication & Characterization: Assist in manufacturing and testing composite materials, including sample preparation and performance evaluation.
  • Fabrication of Fabric and Composite Samples: Engage in the production of nonwoven reinforcement mats and composite structures.
  • Laboratory Organization & Sample Preservation: Maintain a clean and organized lab environment, ensuring proper storage and documentation of materials.
  • General Support: Provide assistance in various projects, including data collection, report preparation, and experimental setup.
  • Exposure to All Aspects of a Startup: Gain hands-on experience in multiple functions of an emerging company, from R&D to operations and business development.

Qualifications 

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Materials Science, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • Interest in composite materials and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical protocols.
  • Willingness to work in a laboratory setting and handle materials.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
