Student Outreach Leader
Position Overview:
The Vol Edge program is seeking two motivated and enthusiastic college students to join our team as Student Outreach Leaders. This position will play a crucial role in promoting the Vol Edge program on campus, engaging with fellow students, beta testing new learning content, and contributing to the success of phase two of our campus launch. The ideal candidates will be outgoing, independent, and passionate about enhancing the college experience through experiential learning opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
On-Campus Marketing:
- Help develop and execute creative marketing strategies to raise awareness of the Vol Edge program among college students.
- Distribute promotional materials, such as flyers, posters, and digital advertisements, across campus.
- Host informational sessions and assist with events to engage with students and promote the benefits of the Vol Edge program.
Student Outreach:
- Serve as a liaison between the Vol Edge program and the student body, actively seeking feedback and addressing inquiries.
- Collaborate with student organizations and clubs to foster partnerships and increase program visibility.
- Conduct outreach initiatives to encourage student participation in program activities and events.
Beta Testing:
- Participate in the beta testing of Vol Edge learning content, providing valuable feedback on usability, effectiveness, and user experience.
- Identify and report any issues or areas for improvement in the learning modules, ensuring a high-quality educational experience for future users.
Contributing to Program Success:
- Assist in administrative tasks related to program operations, including data entry, scheduling, and student communications.
- Collaborate with the Assistant Director and other team members to brainstorm ideas, solve problems, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the Vol Edge program.
Qualifications:
- Current undergraduate student enrolled at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
- Friendly, outgoing personality with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in executing tasks and projects.
- Passion for experiential learning and a desire to help fellow students succeed.
- Familiarity with campus resources, student organizations, and academic programs is preferred but not required.
Schedule and Compensation:
10-15 hours per week, not to exceed 20 hours. This position will begin in Fall 2025 and extend until Spring 2026.
Hourly pay ranging from $12 to $15, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Supervision:
The Student Worker will report to the Assistant Director of Strategic Initiatives.
