Server

New Orleans Country Club is looking for a Server to join the team!

Established in 1914, New Orleans Country Club is a full-service, private country club offering golf, tennis, fitness, food and beverage (a la carte dining and banquets) and swimming to our members and their guests.

We are looking to expand our horizons in 2025, and with that require individuals that are team oriented, efficient, organized, and looking to provide kind service for our membership. 

Summary/Objective

Provides food and beverage service to club members and guests.

Essential Functions

• Sets up side stations and performs assigned side work.
• Provides immediate attention to all members/guests upon seating.
• Distributes menus.
• Fills glasses with ice water; answers questions and suggests menu items.
• Takes members’/guests’ orders.
• Places order with kitchen; informs cooks about any special cooking instructions.
• Assembles food on tray; procures items from each station as necessary.
• Serves meals; places dishes by course in front of each person applying American service technique: serve from the left, clear from the right.
• Checks back to ensure member/guest satisfaction; replenishes water and butter as necessary.
• Removes soiled dishes.
• Suggests and serves dessert, coffee, and after dinner drinks.
• Verifies accuracy of prices, state and federal taxes, tips, and other charges on all checks.
• Presents bill to members.
• Keeps tables, dining room, and bus station areas, and all floors clean.
• Advises supervisor of any complaints as soon as they occur.
• Performs clean-up and closing duties as assigned by manager
• Attends pre-meal meetings as requested by the manager.
• Checks out with Manager on Duty before leaving at the end of shift.

The Club is open 6 days a week (Tuesday - Sunday) from 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM for lunch service, and 5:30 PM - 10:00 PM for dinner service. Our front of house team (servers, back servers, and bartenders) work on a split shift.  The Club provides different styles of food and beverage service based on the day of the week, including but not limited to Happy Hour, Brunch Buffet, and Market Grille evenings.

Qualifications
