Project Specialist, Teacher Effectiveness (ID 2811)

Job Summary

The San Diego County Office of Education is recruiting for a Project Specialist, Teacher Effectiveness for the Teacher Effectiveness and Preparation unit of the Human Resources division. The Project Specialist, Teacher Effectiveness provides support within the Teacher Effectiveness & Preparation programs.

This position is responsible for coordinating and enhancing credentialing programs by collaborating closely with district personnel and participating employers. The role involves analyzing program data, recommending improvements, and managing a learning management system to effectively deliver instructional content. Responsibilities include researching and developing curriculum materials, organizing training components, and maintaining accurate records for credentialing compliance. The individual will actively participate in workshops and trainings, prepare mandated reports, and facilitate seminars to promote program objectives. Additionally, the role supports recruitment efforts through the creation and distribution of branding materials and may also serve as an online instructor or curriculum developer as needed.

ABOUT THE TEACHER EFFECTIVENESS AND PREPARATION UNIT
The San Diego County Office of Education (SDCOE) provides programs that address pre-service preparation, advanced teacher credentials and authorizations, and professional learning for educators. These programs have been developed in response to requests from districts across San Diego County and the state.

Requirements / Qualifications

This position requires the following Education and Experience and Certificates, Licenses, and Credentials:

Education and Experience:Education: A bachelor’s degree; and,Experience: Five (5) years of experience in roles involving training, mentoring, or leading others in an educational setting (preschool-adult learning). Demonstrated ability to coordinate and facilitate professional development activities, lead meetings, and collaborate effectively with educators, administrators, or cross-functional teams is highly preferred.

Equivalency: A combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree, and five (5) years of experience in roles involving training, mentoring, or leading others in an educational setting (preschool-adult learning). Demonstrated ability to coordinate and facilitate professional development activities, lead meetings, and collaborate effectively with educators, administrators, or cross-functional teams is highly preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, and Credentials:

  • Valid Clear CA Teaching Credential
  • Valid CA Administrative Services Credential (preferred)

* Applicants who hold a valid Certificate of Eligibility (COE) or meet all requirements for an Administrative Services Credential (CL-574c) issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC): Please submit a copy of your COE or proof of current eligibility at the time of application for consideration.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $102,099.00 - $124,107.00 per year
