About the Role
We're seeking a detail-oriented professional to join our growing business development team in the Washington, DC area. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to build a foundation in business strategy, sales, and sales operations by directly supporting the CEO, CRO, Head of Federal, and other executives.
About the Company
Schemata is a Stanford-born defense tech startup leading the commercialization of spatial intelligence products, including digitizing work instructions with photorealistic 3D digital twins and vision language models. A16z Speedrun and Owl Ventures led our Seed round.

Responsibilities
- Prepare compelling client proposals and presentation materials
- Draft professional follow-up communications to prospects and clients
- Track sales pipeline data to identify trends and opportunities
- Maintain accurate records in our CRM system
- Assist in optimizing sales processes and workflows
- Support senior sales staff with administrative and operational tasks
- Research potential clients and market developments
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
- Design capabilities (building PowerPoint slides and proposals in Canva)
- Eagerness to learn and grow professionally
- Analytical mindset with an ability to interpret sales data
